The Music I'm listening to this week...

Sometimes it's something I like, sometimes it's odd stuff that I'm checking out.

What Music am I listing to this week? Alice Cooper

Last week -- The Everly Brothes

The best band of the last 3 decades, 21 Grammys, not nominations, wins. I'm talking about the Irish rock band U2 of course. Yes, again, I've been out of the scene, the latest U2 album I've herd is U2000, and I love it.

Bono, part of the driving force behind U2 and it's lead vocalist, (for those of you that have been under a rock longer then I have) was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize in 2005. I was hearing many asking why a rock star would be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, and Bono even said that.

I don't buy it that Bono is a rock star that is doing things for world peace, I believe that Bono is worthy of the Noble Peace Prize because of his work toward world peace and individual peace, it's something that he is, it's his true core. It's something he would do if he wasn't a 'rock star', it's his nature, his character, he acts it out in his music and every aspect of his life. His 'rock stardom' has just given him the platform to do what he truly believes in.

It is sad that there are so many others with the clout and money as he has that don't choose to do anything but further their own selfish ends with it.
